Aurelio Rodriguez belted a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Yankees to a 3-1 triumph over the White Sox. Rodriguez' blow followed a one-out double by Lou Piniella and snapped a 1-1 tie. The Yankees' other run came in the fourth on a round-tripper by Reggie Jackson, the 400th of his career.
