The Blue Jays swept a doubleheader from the Brewers, capturing the lidlifter, 3-1, and winning the nightcap, 5-4. The first game was tied, 1-1, when the Blue Jays loaded the bases in the eighth inning on a single by Otto Velez, walk to John Mayberry and Barry Bonnell being hit by a pitch. Lloyd Moseby then lined a single to center that produced two runs.

The Blue Jays trailed, 4-3, going into the ninth inning of the second game when Roy Howell opened with a single and, two outs later, Doug Ault singled and Ernie Whitt followed with a two-run triple. [The Sporting News]
