. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Rallying for three runs in the ninth inning, the Brewers swept past the Blue Jays, 5-4. The Brewers trailed, 4-2, when Sal Bando led off with a home run. A walk to Charlie Moore sent Jackson Todd to the showers in favor of Jerry Garvin. After Jim Gantner sacrificed, Joey McLaughlin replaced Garvin on the hill for the Jays.

Paul Molitor walked and Robin Yount stroked a single to center to plate Moore with the tying run. McLaughlin then was derricked in favor of Mike Willis, who struck out Cecil Cooper, but Gorman Thomas reached first on an error by Jays third baseman Roy Howell, loading the bases. Ben Oglivie then lined the game-winning single to right. [The Sporting News]
