A triple by Bert Campaneris and single by pinch-hitter Jason Thompson in the ninth inning provided the Angels with their deciding run in a 5-4 victory over the Twins. Bobby Grich knocked in two tallies with a single in the first and Don Baylor homered with a man on base in the eighth for the Angels' other scoring. Mike Cubbage hit a three-run homer for the Twins.
