Ken Forsch and Joe Niekro pitched the Astros to a doubleheader sweep over the Padres, 5-0 and 9-2. The Astros took a 2-0 lead in the first inning of the opener on doubles by Joe Morgan, Jose Cruz and Cesar Cedeno. Cruz blasted a solo homer in the eighth and Terry Puhl connected for a two-run round-tripper in the ninth.
