Sunday August 17, 1980
. . . where the 1970s live forever!
The Brewers swept a doubleheader with the Indians, winning the first game, 4-0, behind the four-hit pitching of Paul Mitchell, and taking the second game, 11-1. Ben Oglivie started the Brewers' scoring in the opener with a homer in the second inning. Cecil Cooper smacked a two-run single in the third and Sixto Lezcano drilled a homer in the fourth.

The Brewers' victory in the nightcap was their sixth in a row, equaling their longest winning streak of the season. Charlie Moore drove in three runs and Cooper and Gorman Thomas accounted for two each. [The Sporting News]
