George Brett singled his first three times at bat as he raised his average to .404 and extended his hitting streak to 30 games in helping the Royals to a 6-3 victory over the Rangers. K.C. scored in the first inning on a single by Brett and RBI double by Darrell Porter.

The Royals added three runs in the third on a sacrifice fly by Porter and two-run homer by Willie Aikens. Dan Quisenberry, who pitched the last 1 2/3 innings, recorded his 26th save. [The Sporting News]
