Steve Stone became the majors' first 20-game winner as the Orioles downed the Angels. 5-2. The Orioles ace had a no-hitter for 7 1/3 innings but was driven to cover as California registered two runs in the eighth. Bert Campaneris broke Stone's spell with a single.
