A two-run double by Jim Rice in the 11th inning proved decisive as the Red Sox prevailed over the Angels, 4-2. The game was tied, 2-2, when Rick Burleson led off the 11th with a walk and advanced to second on a sacrifice by Dave Stapleton. Fred Lynn was intentionally walked and, one out later, Rice doubled to left-center to plate both runners. [The Sporting News]
