A pair of homers by Dave Kingman powered the Cubs to a 4-2 triumph over the Reds. Kingman belted a solo shot in the seventh inning to give the Cubs a 2-1 lead and, after the Reds tied the game in the bottom of the frame, the Cubs' slugger connected for a two-run blast in the eighth following a walk to Bill Buckner.
