Turning in his 19th straight complete game and his 22nd of the season, Rick Langford pitched the A's to a 3-1 victory over the Yankees. The A's scored twice in the fifth inning. Tony Armas singled and came home on a triple by Mitchell Page, who tallied when a pickoff throw by catcher Rick Cerone sailed into left field.
