Completing the three-game series sweep, the Royals downed the Brewers, 5-4. The Royals tallied in the first inning when Willie Wilson doubled, advanced to third on a flyout and came in on a sacrifice fly by Willie Aikens.

The Royals added three markers in the third on a single by George Brett, a stolen base, doubles by Aikens and Darrell Porter and a single by Amos Otis. Brett went 1-for-3, dropping his average to .406. [The Sporting News]
