A three-run outburst in the third inning carried the Astros to a 4-1 triumph over the Cubs. After taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning, the Astros filled the bases in the third on a single by Terry Puhl, walk to Jose Cruz and error by Cubs second baseman Mike Tyson on a grounder by Cesar Cedeno.
