Steve Kemp hit a single, double and homer, knocking in three runs, to lead the Tigers to an 8-2 victory over the Brewers, who went down to their seventh straight defeat. Ricky Peters contributed two RBIs. Milt Wilcox, starting in place of Dan Schatzeder, who missed his turn because of a cut finger, pitched the distance and gained his first victory since July 31.
