Bob Watson hit a three-run homer and Willie Randolph, playing his first game since August 18, rapped three singles and drove in two runs to account for the Yankees' scoring in a 5-1 victory over the Mariners. Randolph batted in a run in the fifth inning and then broke a 1-1 tie with another RBI single in the seventh. Bobby Murcer, who also had three hits, doubled and Watson then iced Tommy John's 18th victory with his homer. [The Sporting News]
