Rick Miller and Jason Thompson batted in seven runs between them to pace the Angels to a 12-6 victory that knocked the Orioles 2½ games behind the Yankees in the East Division race. Miller accounted for four RBIs, driving in two runs with a single in the first inning and two more with a double in the seventh.
