. . . where the 1970s live forever!
A three-run outburst in the first inning triggered the Mariners to a 7-4 victory over the Red Sox. In the Mariners' opening salvo, Julio Cruz doubled and Rodney Craig sent him home with a single. Dan Meyer followed with a two-run homer. Craig, who went 4-for-5, drove in another tally with a single in the second. Bruce Bochte stroked a two-run single in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
