A two-run homer by John Mayberry in a four-run third inning spurred the Blue Jays to a 6-4 triumph over the Yankees, ending the Yanks' eight-game winning streak. The Jays trailed, 2-1, when Garth Iorg singled to open the botton of the fourth and, one out later, Mayberry drilled his round-tripper. Roy Howell and Barry Bonne!l then singled and center fielder Bobby Brown mishandled Willie Upshaw's single to extend Toronto's lead to 5-2. [The Sporting News]
