Rallying for five runs in the seventh inning, the Yankees registered a 7-6 triumph over the Blue Jays. The Yanks trailed, 6-2, in the seventh when Willie Randolph and Bobby Murcer walked and Oscar Gamble and Reggie Jackson followed with RBI singles.

One out later, a single by Rick Cerone plated Gamble. Bucky Dent forced Cerone at second but Damaso Garcia threw wildly to first attempting to get a double play and Jackson scored the tying run. Dent took third on a wild pitch and scored on Aurelio Rodriguez' single. [The Sporting News]
