Mike Norris pitched his 20th complete game as the A's posted a 3-1 triumph over the Rangers. After the A's loaded the bases in the third inning on singles by Rob Picciolo and Rickey Henderson and a walk to Jim Essian, Tony Armas delivered a two-run single. Then in the eighth, Armas drilled a solo homer. Norris stopped the hitting streak of the Rangers' Mickey Rivers at 24 games. [The Sporting News]
