Taking the lead with five runs in the first inning, including three on a homer by Larry Harlow, the Angels went on to defeat the Rangers, 8-4. Four of the Angels' runs were unearned off loser Doc Medich. Rookie righthimder Jim Dorsey pitched five innings for the Angels and gained his first major league victory. [The Sporting News]
