Homers by Bucky Dent, Aurelio Rodriguez and Eric Soderholm powered the Yankees to a 5-3 triumph over the Red Sox. Dent drilled a two-run shot in the fifth inning, Rodriguez connected for a two-run belt in the sixth and Soderholm lashed a pinch-homer with the bases empty in the seventh.
