Completing the three-game series sweep, the Astros defeated the Giants, 6-4. A four-run second inning was the key to victory. A single by Jose Cruz, walk to Cesar Cedeno and single by Denny Walling produced the first run. A single by Alan Ashby plated two more. Joe Morgan then capped the outburst with a run-scoring single.
