Mike Norris became a 20-game winner by going the route as the A's defeated the Rangers, 4-2, in 11 innings. The A's were behind, 2-0, but tied the game in the ninth on a two-run homer by Mickey Klutts, pinch-hitting for Wayne Gross.

Klutts led off the 11th with a single and, with one out, moved to second on a single by Orlando Gonzalez and scored on a single by Dave McKay. A sacrifice fly by Mario Guerrero accounted for the final run. [The Sporting News]
