The Twins swept a twinbill from the Brewers, 3-2 and 6-1. A three-run rally in the fifth inning carried Minnesota to victory in the first game. A double by Greg Johnston began the outburst. Hosken Powell followed with an RBI single and scored on a triple by Rob Wilfong. Roy Smalley then delivered a sacrifice fly.

The first career grand slam by Wilfong snapped a scoreless tie in the seventh inning of the second game. The big blast was preceded by a double by Johnston, pinch-single by Butch Wynegar and intentional walk to Powell. Later in that same stanza, Glenn Adams and Ron Jackson crashed solo round-trippers.
