. . . where the 1970s live forever!
The Orioles won their fifth straight game, beating the Blue Jays, 2-1. The Birds scored both their runs in the third inning. Al Bumbry drew a leadoff walk but was forced by Rich Dauer, who reached third on a single by Ken Singleton and scored on a single by Eddie Murray. A single by John Lowenstein then delivered Singleton. Tim Stoddard relieved in the ninth with pinch-runner Lloyd Moseby on second and two out and was credited with a save when catcher Rick Dempsey picked Moseby off. [The Sporting News]
