. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A two-run, two-out single by Ernie Whitt snapped a ninth-inning tie and gave the Blue Jays a 9-7 victory over the Tigers. Whitt's blow came off Pat Underwood with the bases loaded. Roy Howell belted two homers to help the Blue Jays build a 7-4 lead, but John Wockenfuss drilled a three-run pinch-homer for the Tigers in the eighth to tie the score. [The Sporting News]
