Terry Crowley hit two homers and drove in five runs and Doug DeCinces added a three-run shot to lead the Orioles to a 12-9 victory over the Red Sox. The Red Sox jumped off to an 7-1 early lead, but the Orioles tied the game with a six-run third inning that was highlighted by a three-run round-tripper by Crowley.

After a two-run swat by Tony Perez in the fourth gave the Red Sox a 9-7 lead, Crowley blasted a two-run shot in the Orioles' half to retie the game at 9-9. DeCinces snapped the tie in the seventh with his clout that lifted the Orioles to triumph. [The Sporting News]
