. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Rallying for three runs in the 11th inning, the Mariners prevailed over the Rangers, 7-6. After the Rangers took a 6-4 lead in the top of the 11th on a two-run homer by Pat Putnam, the Mariners loaded the bases in the bottom of the frame on singles by Bruce Bochte and Tom Paciorek and a walk to Jerry Narron. Dave Edler then delivered a three-run double. The Mariners had tied the contest in the ninth with a solo homer by Willie Horton. [The Sporting News]
