An inside-the-park homer by Ben Oglivie with the bases loaded in the ninth inning lifted the Brewers to a 10-7 victory over the A's. The Brewers had back-to-back homers by Robin Yount and Cecil Cooper in the fifth but trailed, 7-5, going into the final frame.

Charlie Moore singled to open the stanza and was forced by Paul Molitor, but Yount and Cooper both singled to load the bases. Oglivie followed with a drive to center field where the ball eluded Dwayne Murphy as Oglivie raced around the bases behind his three teammates. [The Sporting News]
