Jim Rice was collared in four trips, ending his 21-game hitting streak, but Dave Rader and Rick Burleson smashed homers to lead the Red Sox to a 4-3 victory over the Blue Jays. Dave Stapleton drove in a run with a single in the first inning before Rader connected for the circuit. The Blue Jays came back to tie the score, but Burleson then accounted for the Red Sox victory with his homer in the seventh. [The Sporting News] |
