Driving in three runs with a homer, two doubles and a single, Ken Griffey paced the Reds to an 8-5 victory over the Astros. The Reds trailed, 5-4, going into the seventh inning, when Paul Householder slammed a one-out pinch-triple and came home on a single by Dave Collins.

After Joe Sambito relieved Joaquin Andujar on the mound for Houston, Griffey drilled a double that plated Collins. Dave Concepcion followed with a single, scoring Griffey. [The Sporting News]
