The Orioles kept their pennant hopes alive by sweeping a doubleheader from the Red Sox, 5-2 and 4-3. Dennis Martinez hurled a five-hitter in the opener and the Birds scored in the second inning on an infield out by Doug DeCinces, then picked up two more runs in the fourth on back-to-back homers by DeCinces and Rick Dempsey.
