After hitting a homer in the first inning, Al Oliver doubled in the fourth to ignite a four-run outburst that gave the Rangers a 6-2 victory over the Mariners. After his double, Oliver advanced to third on a single by Buddy Bell and crossed the plate on a sacrifice fly by Rusty Staub to tie the score at 2-2. Following two walks that loaded the bases, Mike Richardt singled, driving in Bell, to put the Rangers ahead. Bud Harrelson then iced the decision with a two-run single. [The Sporting News]
