Scoring four runs in their first turn at the plate, the Tigers recorded an 8-5 decision over the Blue Jays. In Detroit's first, Alan Trammell walked and scored on a double by Steve Kemp, who tallied on a single by Champ Summers. Kirk Gibson then capped the outburst with a round-tripper.
