. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A three-run homer by Bump Wills sparked the Rangers to a 6-4 come-from-behind triumph over the Yankees. Texas trailed, 4-0, in the bottom of the fifth inning when Wills slammed his round-tripper following a single by Pat Putnam and an error by N.Y. center fielder Jerry Mumphrey.

Later in the same frame, a single by Buddy Bell drove in the tying tally. The Rangers went ahead in the seventh on an RBI single by Bell and run-scoring double by Jim Sundberg. [The Sporting News]
