. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Slamming a homer and driving in four runs for the second consecutive day, Bob Horner supported Gaylord Perry, who scattered six hits in going the distance to notch his 290th career victory as the Braves defeated the Reds, 7-3. The Braves scored twice in the first inning on run-scoring singles by Claudell Washington and Horner, and picked up another marker in the second frame on a run-scoring single by Perry. Horner drilled an RBI double in the third and blasted a two-run homer in the fifth. [The Sporting News]
