John Montefusco earned his first victory in an Atlanta uniform at the expense of his former mates with relief from Rick Camp and the hitting support of Chiris Chambliss and Eddie Miller, who drove in two runs each as the Braves trimmed the Giants, 7-3. With the score tied, 3-3, in the fifth inning, Claudell Washington and Bob Horner stroked two-out singles before Chambliss sent the Braves ahead to stay with a two-run double. [The Sporting News]
