A three-run homer by Rick Burleson climaxed a five-run seventh inning that rallied the Angels to a 6-4 decision over the Twins. The Angels trailed, 4-1, in the seventh when they loaded the bases on singles by Brian Downing and Juan Beniquez and a walk to Bobby Grich.

A sacrifice fly by Bert Campaneris scored Downing. Rod Carew then hit a sacrifice fly that Gary Ward dropped for an error, scoring Beniquez and sending Grich to third while Carew reached second. Burleson cleared the sacks with his round-tripper. [The Sporting News]
