. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A three-run homer by Jim Sundberg highlighted an 8-4 victory by the Rangers over the Indians. Texas scored three runs in the first inning on an RBI single by Mickey Rivers, RBI groundout by Johnny Grubb and a run-scoring single by Pat Putnam. Sundberg's clout came in the fifth frame and followed a single by Grubb and an error. [The Sporting News]
