. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The Giants ended their five-game losing streak and snapped Atlanta's six-game winning skein by winning both ends of a twin bill from the Braves, 3-1 and 8-5. Doyle Alexander notched his third win of the season and the second over his former Atlanta teammates in the opener as the Giants scored in the sixth inning on a run-scoring double by Enos Cabell, in the seventh on a solo homer by Jack Clark and in the eighth on an RBI single by Joe Morgan.

Four hits by Darrell Evans paced Frisco's 17-hit attack in the nightcap. A two-run double by Morgan was the key blow in a three-run fifth inning that tied the game at 4-4 before the Giants went ahead with two tallies in the sixth, pinch-hitter Jim Wohlford singing in the go-ahead run.
