Ted Simmons had a two-run homer and four RBIs and Gorman Thomas hit a two-run homer to spark the Brewers to an 11-1 rout of the Royals. Simmons, who clouted his round-tripper in the second inning for the Brewers' first two runs, also delivered a sacrifice fly in the seventh and run-scoring single in the eighth.
