Toby Harrah belted a two-run homer and Bo Diaz scored from first on a throwing error by catcher Jim Essian in a three-run seventh, enabling the Indians to gain a 3-2 victory over the White Sox. Held to two hits by Ross Baumgarten over the first six innings, Cleveland received a homer from Harrah with Joe Charboneau on base. Diaz followed with a walk and scored when Essian threw Rick Manning's bunt single past first base.
