. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Allowing only two hits, Dave Rozema halted the Tigers' 10-game losing streak with a 2-0 victory over Seattle. A first-inning single by Richie Zisk, who extended his hitting streak to 13 games, and a third-inning single by Rick Auerbach were the only hits in Rozema's second shutout of the season. The Tigers scored both of their runs in the first on a single by Alan Trammell, walk to Steve Kemp, RBI double by Lance Parrish and infield out by John Wockenfuss. [The Sporting News]
