Dennis Leonard pitched a five-hitter to notch his first complete game of the season as the Royals rapped the Rangers, 7-2. The Royals scored their first run in the second when Cesar Geronimo singled home Willie Aikens, who had doubled.

K.C. tallied two more in the fourth when Aikens doubled again and scored on Frank White's single, and Amos Otis singled and eventually scored on Geronimo's groundout. Jamie Quirk had a two-run double and Otis an RBI single for the Royals' final runs in the seventh. [The Sporting News]
