Pinch-hitter Terry Crowley's single in the bottom of the 10th inning drove in the winning run as the Orioles edged the Twins, 4-3. Eddie Murray began the Orioles' 10th with a single and advanced to second on a sacrifice by Benny Ayala. After Gary Roenicke reached first safely on an error by first baseman Ron Jackson and Doug DeCinces struck out, Crowley delivered a single down the right field line to plate Murray.
