. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Driving in five runs, Chris Chambliss paced the Braves to a 10-2 drubbing of the Cardinals as Gaylord Perry recorded his 292nd career victory. The Braves trailed, 2-1, entering the sixth inning but went ahead with a three-run uprising on an RBI fielder's choice grounder by Chambliss, run-scoring single by Biff Pocoroba and a wild pitch. They added a pair in the seventh on a single by Eddie Miller, triple by Claudell Washington and single by Chambliss. [The Sporting News]
