. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Driving in four runs with a two-run homer and two-run double, Bucky Dent sparked the Yankees to a 5-2 decision over the Angels. After the Yanks took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a sacrifice fly by Dave Winfield, Dent drilled a two-run double in the second and blasted a round-tripper in the fourth.

While at bat in the sixth inning, Dent was hit on the wrist by a John D'Acquisto pitch and was forced to leave the game. X-rays showed no broken bones but Dent's arm was placed in a split and he was scheduled for further examination. [The Sporting News]
