A bases-loaded walk to pinch-hitter Brian Asselstine snapped a 3-3 tie in the eighth inning, enabling the Braves to edge the Cardinals, 4-3. The walk came off Bruce Sutter, who entered the game with one out and runners on first and second. After the Braves worked a double steal, Sutter intentionally walked Glenn Hubbard and struck out Bruce Benedict before issuing a pass to Asselstine on a 3-2 count. [The Sporting News]
