A single by John Castino drove home the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Twins outlasted the Indians, 8-7. After the Twins took a 7-5 lead with a three-run eighth capped by a two-run pinch-single by Danny Goodwin, the Tribe tied the contest in the top of the ninth on a two-run pinch-double by Bo Diaz. Then with one out in the bottom of the ninth, Sal Butera stroked a single, moved to second on a passed ball and, one out later, scored on a single by Castino. [The Sporting News]
